I’m a little sweaty from my shopping day, but want to try on my gown with pleasure. Do you have facilities for me to freshen up?
Yes! All showrooms offer clean, private restrooms/toilets and each fitting room is equipped with wipes and powder for You to feel as beautiful as You truly are.
Do I need to make an appointment for the selection of my Dream gown? What about for my ongoing fittings?
For the selection of Your headturning gown, no appointment is necessary. Showrooms are attended by DreamMakers in such a way that You will always be effectively served by one of our fantastic DreamMakers. You will always feel valued and important. Of course, if you wish, a firm appointment can be arranged. Just click on Your preferred showroom using the menu above to contact us. Regarding ongoing fittings, yes, an appointment is preferred and these are generally not available on Saturdays - especially in the mornings.
Are gowns available for purchase ‘off-the-rack’ at A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal?
Yes. There are many styles available in an array of sizes. We will work with You and Your needs and Your wedding date to ensure You wear the perfect gown - be it a re-order or available new from the Showroom stock.
Once I order my gown, how long does it take to arrive into the A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal showroom?
Allow up to 6 months for delivery for bridal gowns (rush and quicker times can apply) and formal gowns we recommend you allow up to 20 weeks (rush and quicker times can apply). A guideline date will be provided to you upon discussion or confirmation of order.
I am taller / shorter / significantly different than average, so should my special order accommodate this or should we alter the gown on arrival?
This depends on extra costs incurred by the manufacturer which must be passed on. It may or may not be economical or even possible to alter after arrival. Please note that alteration costs are Your responsibility, however we care deeply for Your Wedding Dreams, and therefore will consult with you based on quotes received to assist You in making the best decision. Please communicate Your thoughts with us so we can Make Your Dreams Come True. Also refer to further questions about alterations and Made-to-Measure options below.
I have special fashion requirements because of a wheelchair or religious requirements. Can A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal still assist?
Indeed we can! We have made many Dreams Come True where alterations or modifications due to wheelchairs or religious requirements were involved.
What payment and Layby options are available at A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal?
We are the only Bridal Showroom in Australia which offers interest free periods without deposit and repayments. All other normal payment options are welcome also. Layby terms from 8-16 weeks can be arranged with 33% deposit although interest-free finance is preferred.
Can I purchase my Dream Gown without visiting an A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal showroom?
Yes, once you have decided the style you most like, you can do this if you please. To get Your Dream underway, click on your preferred showroom - talk to us. Secure Credit Card and Bank Transfer facilities are available. Normal retail legislation applies regarding returns and refunds so please choose carefully.
What sizes are gowns available at A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal?
Sizes 4 to 30 and Made-to-Measure using our Couture service in-showroom.
Can I order extra or matching fabric at A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal to make scraves, ties, seat covers or to cover shoes?
You can purchase extra fabric for most designs. Taffeta, chiffon, organza and satin is available by special order by the metre. Please be aware that there may be a slight dye-lot difference. A Touch Of Romance can also make ties and hankies for Your Groom and His party. Fabric orders can usually be filled within 2-3 weeks, however we recommend You confirm this with Your DreamMaker in-showroom and that You plan this as far in advance as possible to overcome any unnecessary dye-lot differences.
Are a range of fabrics available for the gown design I choose?
All gowns are made in the specified fabric, with certain options available on a gown by gown basis. For a specific fabric or fabric combination, you may wish to consider the Couture option available in-store. Of course, our dedicated DreamMakers will spend as many hours with You as necessary to find Your Dream Gown to whatever specifications You are Dreaming of.
Are gowns Made-to-Measure? Where do I have alterations performed, if necessary?
The only gowns which are Made-to-Measure are those made by our Couture designer, and this is when this extra option is agreed upon and paid for. Gowns are always so wonderfully crafted that generally Made-to-Measure isn’t necessary. However sometimes for showroom and specially ordered gowns, hemming and “taking-in” will need to occur and we will be glad to refer you to a Seamstress who can assist you with this need in a timely and professional manner.
After saying “I Do”, throughout the day will my gown get dirty? What can I do to preserve it?
Your finely crafted gown is subject to soiling like any other fashion item, so expect it to get dirty, but don’t despair! Click here for in-store preservation options. Once you have your gown cleaned by us, as per the preservation option, it will be returned to in a beautiful gown bag for ongoing storage or re-sale to another party. A Touch Of Romance Bridal & Formal does not offer a gown buy-back service as we do not specialise in second-hand gowns.
